1st Feature attempts

I had fun experimenting with the A, B and C layouts and toying with the conceptual aspect of how the image relates to the content. I may have gone a little overboard with my picture research. (the ones posted here were my favorites but I had tried multiple others but decided against showing all of them. Although I spent a little too much time on the photo and concept, I feel like I now know what I'm trying to accomplish so jumping in on the nitty gritty type and layout design should not be as hard as it would have had I not fully explored as I did. (next feature I'll try exploring type first and photo second to see how it affects my personal methods.
